Dr Mirella Sgarbossa
I am an Italian Psychologist, licensed to practice in the United Kingdom and a Chartered Member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
My academic journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Personality Psychology from the University of Padua, followed by a Master’s degree in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Bologna. I later specialized in Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapy at the School of Cognitive Studies in Modena, where I deepened my expertise in evidence-based approaches.
I have also completed foundational training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) with the Italian EMDR Association, focusing on the treatment of trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder. Additionally, I am trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which allows me to integrate mindfulness and values-based interventions into my practice.
My approach is flexible and highly personalized, drawing on a range of therapeutic modalities to address the unique needs of each client. My goal is to offer meaningful, practical support that empowers individuals to overcome challenges and foster lasting well-being.
